To the editor:
I have been attempting for some time to get the Tribune to print a copy of the new U.S. representative map for Kansas. For some reason they do not think it would be of interest.
The office of our state representative, Tory Marie Arnberger-Blew, sent me a copy of the new map. According to the map, each district has equal populations, 734,470. Barton County is barely still in the “Big First” district, but the city of Larned is divided between the first and fourth districts. The Pawnee County clerk told me this morning it has been a big problem getting people in Larned notified of the change if their addresses have caused them to change districts. The Tribune seems to be featuring more Larned/Pawnee County news so this might be of interest to these people.
I have visited with Dale Hogg twice about this but he does not seem interested in printing a copy of the new map. I wonder why. The primaries are fast approaching.
