Not all Royals are all-stars
Fans vote early and often

Now, I realize if the Kansas City Royals were a T-ball team, what their fans are doing would be fine.
Royals fans would not want lil’ Omar or injured Alex to have their feelings hurt. After all, we’re talking about big boys here. And big boys have feelings too.
That being said, the fact that 3.9 million fans have voted for injured Royals outfielder Alex Rios is an absolute joke. Rios is batting .197 with one homer.
It’s also laughable that 4.5 million votes have been cast for Royals second baseman Omar Infante, a .210 hitter after two hits Monday night. I wish I had the time to send each of those 4.5 million voters a note.
C’mon Royals fans.
Go ahead and vote for C Salvador Perez, 1B Eric Hosmer, 3B Mike Moustakas, OF Lorenzo Cain, OF Alex Gordon and DH Kendrys Morales. They are deserving of your all-star vote.
But don’t vote for Infante or Rios, let alone SS Alcides Escobar. Sure, Escobar is a future Gold Glove shortstop, but a .260 average with 18 RBIs isn’t good enough for all-star consideration.
By the time all the voters are counted, Perez and Cain might be the Royals’ only starters. But Moustakas, Hosmer, Gordon and Morales are worthy all-star candidates.
Tigers’ 1B Miguel Cabrera, Astros’ 2B Jose Altuve and Mariners’ DH Nelson Cruz are likely to pass their Royals counterparts.
Vote early, vote often.
