HUTCHINSON — The Barton Community College volleyball team went 0-4 at the Hutchinson Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
The Lady Cougars won one game to avoid getting swept in all four matches.
Barton started the weekend off with Missouri State University-West Plains on Friday, falling 3-0. The Lady Grizzlies made short work of dispatching the Lady Cougars 25-14, 25-22 and 25-16.
To close out Friday, Barton fell 25-19, 25-21 and 25-23 Seminole State College.
Barton played Redlands to open Saturday’s portion of play. After falling 25-21 in the first set, the Lady Cougars bounced back to win 25-23 in the second.
However, Redlands recovered, winning 25-16 and 25-13.
New Mexico beat Barton in three straight sets 25-20, 25-23 and 25-18 to send the Lady Cougars home without a victory over the weekend.
Barton falls to 6-11 on the season and returns to Hutchinson on Monday night for a Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division match. The Lady Cougars, 4-1 in conference play, will take on the No. 19-ranked Blue Dragons, starting at 6:30.
