Barton women bowlers enjoy success
PLANO, Texas – The Barton Community College women's bowling team placed runner-up ad third at the SWIBC V and SWIBC VI held at the Plano Super Bowl .
Wichita State's Paige Wagner, a Great Bend native, finished third with a score of 1,110, an average of 222 with scores of 204, 208, 223, 231 and 244.
The Cougars placed third in the SWIBC V with five team games and 10 baker rounds for 5,989-pins. Sunday's SWIBC VI featured seven individual games, Barton bettered their placing with a runner-up finish destroying 6,308 pins edging out third place Texas A&M 5,888.
Wichita State University placed first with scores of 7,295 and 7,597.
Chailyn Scott placed eighth with 992 pins, a 198 average. She scored games of 218 and 232. Jasmine Bridges placed 10th (904) averaged 180 and scored 204 and 213.Barton's junior varsity group showcased 17th-place Charlee Bitler (838) and 19th-place Cassidy Eschliman (824).
Olivia Oliver's 25th finish of 775 led a five pack of Cougars with Morgan Kolanek 26th (767), Allyson Heidenreich 27th (753), Jaden Rabe 28th (746) and Alexandra Coykendall's 29th (744).
Ashley Oliver earned ninth place Sunday with a 1,412 score over seven games with a 202 average. Oliver scored 221, 222 and 224, 222 and 221. Allyson Heidenreich placed 10th (1,325) with a high game of 224. Bridges placed 13th (1,299). Kolanek placed 17th at 1,199,
