It took a little while to get going. But in the end it was just the kind of result the Barton men’s soccer team was expected to post.
Barton rolled by Northwest Tech to close out the regular season with an 8-0 win. The Cougars put the finishing touches on a 12-2 regular season at the Barton Sports Complex.
Barton led just 2-0 at the half but exploded for six second half goals to wrap up the regular season. The Cougars finished 10-2 in the region and 6-2 in the Jayhawk West to finish runner-up to Cloud County in both. NW Tech finishes its season at 5-10-2 and out of the playoffs.
