EMPORIA — The Barton Community College men’s golf team wrapped up the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference regular season with a sixth-place finish on Tuesday at Emporia Municipal Golf Course.
The Cougars finished with a team score of 628 for a combined 60-over, 47 strokes from first-place Dodge City (581) and four strokes out of fifth place.
Jeremie Eloy tied for 13th place, leading the Cougars with rounds of 74 and 76 for a total of 150. The Cougars trio of Alex Hobelmann, Kyle Hoover and Garrett Bland tied for 32nd place, while Bryer Livermore finished tied for 38th.
Barton’s next meet with be April 21-23 for the KJCCC Championship at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton.
The Cougars will have their practice round on Sunday. Then they will play 36 holes on Monday, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday. Tee times for each day of competition set for 8 a.m.
