ARKANSAS CITY -- Great Bend pitcher Carson Umphres earned a victory for Northeast Texas Community College in a wild 18-16 baseball victory Friday over Cowley College.

Umphres (1-0) pitched two innings, yielding one earned run with two strikeouts.

Northeast Texas won the 3-game series 2-1.
