Lady Cougars struggle against No. 1-ranked Butler

EL DORADO — Facing a tall task, the Barton Community College softball team fell to No. 1-ranked Butler 11-0 and 8-0 on Thursday.
The Lady Cougars struggled against the Lady Grizzlies pitching staff, dropping to 9-24 overall and wrapping up the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division season at 1-15.
Butler improves to 43-2 on the season, remaining undefeated in conference play at 14-0.
Barton travels to Nebraska for a pair of non-conference doubleheaders over the weekend, beginning at 3 p.m. on Saturday at North Platte.
On Sunday, the Lady Cougars have a twinbill against McCook, starting at noon.
