RAYMORE, Mo.— The Barton Bandits 13U baseball team won their third tournament of the season last weekend at the USSSA Wounded Warrior Tournament held in Raymore, Mo.  Lead by strong weekend pitching performances from Eduardo Bujanda, Townshend Kurth, and Colin Hall,  the Bandits survived eight lead changes in the championship game against the Blue Valley Rampage in a 7-6 victory.  A late  sixth inning single by Riley Smith set up the winning run.  Colin Hall followed with a single of his own to advance Smith into scoring position.  Townshend Kurth’s single then drove in Smith for the go ahead score.

Bryce Brown led the offense going a perfect 3 for 3, followed by Colin Hall who was 3 for 4. Nahum Olivas, Riley Smith, Townshend Kurth, and Joey Soupiset all contributed going 2 for 4 in the championship game.

Next action for the  Bandits is this Saturday and Sunday at the NBC Hap Dumont Tournament at the Great Bend Sports Complex.

With the tournament win, as well as an additional doubleheader sweep of the Central Kansas Crushers Tuesday night, the Bandits have a record of 18 and 7 for the season.
