Cougar Dalton Regan drilled back-to-back 3-pointers for a 50-49 lead. Regan and Jayce Kohls each scored six points down the stretch and Peytan Butler scored four points, including a key steal and layup for a 54-49 lead.

Ellinwood (2-1) plays rival Otis-Bison in Friday's 7:30 p.m. championship game. Freshman sensation Britton Dutton scored 17 points.
The Eagles led 36-18 with a dominating first half. Grady led Ashland with 13 points.

LANGDON — All-league Mya Maxwell dominated with a sparkling 17-point effort to lead Elinwood's girls past Ashland in Thursday's semifinals of the Fairfield Falcon Classic. The Eagles (3-0) play No. 8 state-ranked 1A Otis-Bison in Friday's championship game. Ashtin Klepper added six points.
The game was dominated by defense. Ellinwood's interior defense shut down Ashland and held the Bluejays to eight points after halftime. MacKenzie Walker led Ashland with 11 points.

RUSSELL — Phillipsburg's Dibble converted the game-winning field goal with 35 seconds left to lift the Panthers past underdog Central Plains 38-37 in Thursday's semifinals of the Russell Amos Morris Classic. The Oilers led 28-22 after three quarters and 32-27 with a few minutes left.
The Oilers (1-2) worked an effective patient offense to nearly upset the Panthers. Jerred Bieberle converted a free throw for a 37-36 lead after Tyler Holmes stole the ball.

KINSLEY 47, LARNED 31 – Kinsley’s 5-7 Josena Frame poured through 26 points and led the Lady Coyotes in rebounding and assists as the Coyotes roared past Larned 47-31 in Thursday’s consolation round.
Larned connected on 10 of 34 field goals and 10 of 22 free throws. In the second half, the Indians once missed 13 consecutive shots. Kinsley forged a 26-18 halftime after leading 9-6 after one quarter.
“We play pretty well until we get tired, then we start fouling and making turnovers,” said Larned coach Larned coach Ashley Crosby. “Because of our short bench we have to improve our conditioning.”
Kinsley’s Cindy Ibarra added 13 points. The Coyotes made 18 of 45 field goal attempts and 8 of 11 free throws.
Larned (0-3) was paced by Eden Evers with 11 points and Julie Tapia added eight points. The Cardinals play Hoisington at 12:30 p.m. Saturday for seventh place.
