Bat Cats upset Hays Larks HAYS — The Great Bend Bat Cats finally beat their nemesis — the Hays Larks.Bat Cat pitcher Daniel Hegarty threw seven solid innings to earn Saturday’s 7-4 victory which prevented the Larks from clinching the Jayhawk League baseball title. The Bat Cats (10-23, 15-24) return home Monday to start a three-game series against the Dodge City A's.Hays led 1-0 after two innings when Devin Hager’s single scored John Rensel.
