Bombers baseball wins 12-and-under state title

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Great Bend based Bombers 12-and-under baseball team swept five games to capture the AA Perfect Game Midwest State Tournament at the Mid-America Sports Complex. The Bombers improve to 25-4-1.

Zack Kaiser’s team started pool play by beating the Building Champions 5-1 and Midwest Maniax 1-0 before outscoring the Kansas Outlaws 14-9 in pool play.  

The No. 1 seeded Bombers downed Manhattan Impact (10-2) and Midwest Maniax (9-1) in Saturday’s championship game.  

Bombers pitcher Cade Coleman threw a spectacular perfect game against Midwest Maniax in a 1-0 victory. Coleman recorded four strikeouts with no runs, no hits, no walks, and no errors.
