ELLINWOOD — Jack Wikum's two-run single scored the tying and game-winning runs to complete Hoisington's baseball sweep 6-5 over Ellinwood. The Cardinals (6-6) won the opener 9-1.

CARDINALS 9, ELLINWOOD 1 (G1) — Leyton Haxton and Chase Steinert combined to shut down Ellinwood's batting.

Shawn Ingram led the Cardinals with four hits. Holt Hanzlick, Chase Steinert and Cole Steinert each delivered two hits.

Ellinwood's Alek Brack rapped out two hits.

CARDINALS 6, ELLINWOOD 5 (G2) — Hoisington reliever M.J. Aylward earned the victory.  

Layton Haxton and Cole Steinert each drove in two runs with two hits. Alex Elmore delivered three hits and Holt Hanzlick and Shawn Ingram each had two hits.

Ellinwood's Cooper Hosman drove home a run. Parker Scheck had two hits.
