HOISINGTON — Hoisington's softball team rolled past Ellinwood 11-1 and 14-4 in Friday's non-league games.

HOISINGTON 11, ELLINWOOD 1 (G1) — Brynn Tarlton (2-0) struck out nine batters in a 1-hitter. She drove home two runs with three hits and scored three runs. 

Marly Brewer scored a first-inning run on an error. Riese's single scored Macie Strong and Aubree Martin and Avery Riese scored on second-inning errors. Rylee Vaughn scored on Brewer's fly ball. Kelsi Maier's single scored Tarlton for a 6-0 lead. 

In a 3-run third, Strong scored on a groundout, Rylee Vaughn scored on Tarlton's double and Brewer doubled in Tarlton for a 9-0 lead. In the fifth, Martin scored on Tarlton's single. Tarlton scored on Maier's game-clinching single for an 11-1 win.

Bennett Jacobs singled home Madison Kirkpatrick for the Eagles' run.

HOISINGTON 14, ELLINWOOD 4 (G2) — Reece Aylward homered twice and drove home five runs. Myah Frederking also hit a 2-run homer. Hoisington pitcher Martin struck out eight batters.

Aylward scored on Maier's single in a 4-run first. Brewer stole home on a double steal. Mary Griffin's single scored Maier and Reese Vaughn. Aylward's 2-run homer scored Brewer and Reese Vaughn's double scored Maier for a 7-0 lead.

Frederking's homer scored Strong. Aylward's 3-run homer scored Tarlton and Brewer for a 12-0 lead. Rilynn Crawford scored on a passed ball and Brewer's double scored Rylee Vaughn for the final two runs.

Ellinwood's Jacobs scored on a bases-loaded walk and Shyria Quintana scored on a fourth-inning passed ball. Makynna Bryant doubled home McKena Parker and Quintana tripled home Bryant in the fifth inning.
