HALSTEAD — Hoisington's Josiah Ball (24-3, 132), Teron Kraft (19-6, 152) and Cole Gilliland (26-3, 285) and Larned's Luke Fischer (24-3, 190) earned first place medals at Thursday's Central Kansas League Wrestling Tournament.
In championship matches, Ball edged Haven's Gavin Moore 4-2 in overtime; Kraft pinned Pratt's Wyatt Lovell (5:56); Gilliland pinned Pratt's Drake Van Scoyoc (2:19); and Fischer defeated Smoky Valley's Richard Zeller 16-0.
Hoisington's Easton Redetzke (15-4, 126) and Larned's Carter Atteberry (26-7, 215) earned runner-up finishes. In championship matches, Smoky Valley's Connor Barnes defeated Redetzke 15-10 in a wild match and Smoky Valley's Justin Holt pinned Atteberry (3:52).
Pratt (134.5) won the Central Kansas League title. Hoisington (113.5) placed third. Larned (55) finished sixth.
