Central Plains boys, girls sweep Victoria

CENTRAL PLAINS 49, VICTORIA 39 — Central Plains boys basketball coach Michael Ryan earned bragging rights over his brother Devin Ryan of Victoria High School with a 49-39 Central Prairie League victory over the Knights.

Oiler Brodie Crites stayed red hot with a 22-point effort. Camden Stiles added 12 points for the Oilers (9-1, 3-0 CPL), who outscored the Knights 26-14 after halftime.

Victoria's Aiden Dinkel scored 12 points. The Knights (7-3, 1-2 CPL) dropped back-to-back games after losing to St. John 56-26 Thursday night.

CENTRAL PLAINS GIRLS 61, VICTORIA 26 — Central Plains Oiler Aevyn Siemsen scored 19 points to spark a 61-26 Central Prairie League basketball victory over Victoria Friday.

Izzy Hurley scored 13 points and Emery Siemsen added 10 points for Central Plains (7-3, 2-1 CPL). Victoria (3-7, 1-2 CPL) was paced by Kaylee Kuhn with 10 points.
