LARNED — Cimarron pitcher Quinn Campbell shut down Larned's offense 12-2 and 10-3 in Monday's season-opening softball; doubleheader.

CIMARRON 12, LARNED 2 (G1) — Cimarron's Campbell struck out 10 Indians and yielded zero earned runs in a nifty 69-pitch outing.

Larned's pinch runner J Robinson scored on a third-inning error after Eowyn Hedding reached on an error. Brooke Simmons singles and scored on a fourth-inning throwing error by catcher B Cofer.

Cimarron's Brenna Hayes and Bella Cofer each drove home two runs. Campbell delivered an RBI double. Cimarron scored seven runs on errors and passed balls. 

CIMARRON 10, LARNED 3 (G2) — Campbell (4-0) dominated with nine strikeouts while yielding a pair of earned runs.

Larned's Brooke Simmons scored on a second-inning passed ball. Eowyn Hedding scored on a third-inning double steal. Hedding scored on a fifth inning passed ball.

Cimarron's Zayla Hunsaker doubled three times and drove home three runs. Kinlee Simon and Yesenia Garfio each drove home two runs. Ashlynn Randa and Cofer each drove in a run.
