Disc golf session scheduled Wednesday at noon

The Great Bend Recreation Commission will sponsor a free Stop ‘N Learn Session titled “Disc Golf 101” from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 at the Great Bend Disc Golf Course on the north side of Veterans Lake in Veterans Memorial Park.  

Shane Sandberg, a certified official for the Professional Disc Golf Association, will offer information about a fast growing sport.

Participants will learn basic rules, see demonstrations of throwing techniques and learn about various discs. Members of the Great Bend Flyers Disc Golf Cub will be on hand to help you throw a few discs.  

Participants will be entered for a door-prize. 

In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved to the Great Bend Rec Activity Center (2715 18th Street).
