Dodge City soccer shuts out Panthers 12-0

Dodge City standout Jasmine Ruiz scored five goals and contributed three assists to spark a 12-0 victory over Great bend’s soccer team at Cavanaugh Field.

Dodge City (6-2, 2-0 WAC) scored 12 first-half goals to end the game at halftime. Great Bend (1-4, 0-3 WAC) plays at Liberal Thursday.

Emily Alonso scored three goals. Yareli Garcia Rojas and Karime Rueda each scored two goals.

Contributing assists were Ashley Alonso Lenoyr, Kathia Ramirez, Monica Equihua, Yakeline Zetino Gaspar, Ana Gamez and Stephany Hernandez.

Dodge City goalie Janet Morales De La Rosa preserved a shutout.
