BELOIT – Macksville’s Ryan Kuckelman caught a 26-yard reception to set up the game-winning touchdown as the West edged the East 28-22 in the Div. 1 8-Man All-star football game.
Kuckelman’s reception set up the game-winning 13-yard touchdown run by Wichita County’s Ehrik Hermosillo. Hill City’s Kaleb Atkins sealed the victory with a 27-yard run for a first down that allowed the West to click off the final minute.
Osborne’s Payton Rush caught an 11-yard scoring pass from Caldwell’s Kiondre Smith and Little River’s Grant Stephens caught the tying 2-point pass from Madison’s Bryson Turner for a 22-22 tie.
The West converted a 79-yard touchdown drive on Adkins’ 5-yard touchdown and a Hermosillo conversion for a 22-14 tie. A fourth-down conversion reception by Ell-Saline’s Kaleb Wilson kept the 79-yard drive alive.
Sublette’s Miguel Hernandez delivered the game’s pivotal play on a 57-yard fumble return that led to a 14-14 tie.

BELOIT – Canton-Galva Matlbie threw three touchdown passes and rushed for a fourth score to spark the East past the West 54-22 in Saturday’s Division 2 8-Man All-Star football game. Axtell’s Isaac Detweiler contributed two rushing touchdowns and a 63-yard halfback pass to Canton-Galva’s Cason Mastre on the first play from scrimmage.
