ELLINWOOD GIRLS 58, MEDICINE LODGE 55 (1ST) — The Ellinwood girls (4-0) stayed unbeaten with a hard-fought 58-55 championship victory over Medicine Lodge in the Kiowa County Shootout.
Ellinwood's Julia Schlessiger scored 16 points and Reese Stickney added 10 points. The Eagles converted six 3-pointers. The Eagles captured the Kiowa County Shootout for the second consecutive year by beating Medicine Lodge (4-1).
"The girls played through adversity tonight with Julia Schlessiger in foul trouble and Alyvia Batchman with an ankle injury," said Ellinwood coach Greg Maxwell. "I was pleased with the response and how they were able to find a way to win against a good basketball team."
Medicine Lodge's Emmy Gerdes scored 18 points and Emery Shinliver added 14 points.
ELLINWOOD GIRLS 73, KIOWA COUNTY 32 — Ellinwood's 6-foot-2 Julia Schlessiger dominated inside with 22 points with Ayla Ritchie (14) and Reese Stickney (10) also scoring in double figures in the 3-game Kiowa County tournament.
Hallie Frazier led the Mavericks with 13 points.

MEDICINE LODGE 50, ELLINWOOD 49 — Medicine Lodge outscored Ellinwood 50-49 behind nine 3-pointers and 11 of 14 foul shooting. Jack Schreiner (12) and Mavrik Inslee (11) scored in double figures at the Kiowa County Shootout.
Ellinwood's Drake Hosman (15) Layton Wirtz (13) and Luke Heinz (11) scored in double figures. The Indians lost two tight ballgames at the Kiowa County Shootout.
PRATT SKYLINE 54, ELLINWOOD 50 — Skyline's Isaac House scored 10 fourth-quarter points and Matthias Bair hit a trio of 3-pointers for a hard-fought 54-50 second-round victory over Ellinwood in the Kiowa County Shootout.
House scored 20 points and Bair added 14 points. Skyline outscored Ellinwood 23-13 in the fourth quarter.
Drake Hosman led the Eagles with 13 points and Cade Coleman added 12 points.
KIOWA COUNTY 56, ELLINWOOD 41 — By the time Ellinwood's boys scored 18 points in the fourth quarter, the Eagles trailed Kiowa County 46-23. The Mavericks downed the Eagles 56-41 in the 3-game Kiowa County tournament.
Drake Hosman led the Eagles with 10 points and Brack added nine points.
Kiowa County's Sawyer Campbell scored 23 points and Boone McDonald added 19 points.
