Ellinwood golf qualifies two players

BELLEVILLE – Ellinwood’s Andrew Heinz (77) placed seventh and Mason Moore (82) finished 11th to capture individual berths for the 2A state golf tournament at Salina next week. Heinz birdied No. 15 and played his seven holes in even par.  Moore finished in high fashion with a birdie at No. 18.

Ellinwood (365) finished fifth in the team standings. The Eagles also counted 33rd-place Lane Klepper (103) and Aiden Ricker (103).

Salina Sacred Heart (301) and Sterling (331) captured team berths. Plianville's Parker Krob (72) and Salina Sacred Heart's Kameron Shaw (72) tied for medalist honors.
