Eagles’ Heinz wins Dodge City title
DODGE CITY – Ellinwood’s reigning 2A state runner-up Drew Heinz surprised 5A and 6A golfers by capturing medalist honors with a career best 4-under-par 68 at Thursday’s Dodge City Golf Tournament. Heinz beat Wichita Carroll’s Noah Holtzman (70) by two shots.
Ellinwood’s Mason Moore (84) placed 36th.
Great Bend (389) placed 14th led by Nash Lindberg (96) and Joe Linenberger (96), who tied for 72nd place.
