GBMS 7th graders win at Hays

HAYS — The Great Bend Middle School 7th-grade boys and girls won the Hays cross country meet Tuesday. The Great Bend Middle School eighth-graders also competed.
The GBMS 7th-grade boys dominated the top three positions with Angel Razo (6:35), followed by Jonathan Pasos (6:45) and Juan Sanchez (6:50).
The GBMS girls featured three runners in the top 10 led by Emilia Diaz, 3rd (7:31); Yulisa Valdez, 9th; and Casandra Enriquez 10th, both with times of 7:56.
The 8th-grade girls captured third place led by Aubrey Snapp, 1st (14:21). The 8th-grade boys placed seventh led by Jamie Arellanes, 5th (12:39).
The teams will compee at Haysville Sept. 22.
