Panthers win volleyball title


SCOTT CITY — The Great Bend Middle School 7th-grade A volleyball team placed first at the Scott City tournament. The Panthers won each set by at least seven points. The A team features Meredith Mazouch, Lydia Schaub, Alex Mayers, Alyvia Batchman, Camdyn Post and Kya Behr.

Alex Mayers collected 16 aces. Meredith Mazouch and Alyvia Batchman lead the way on sets and assisted on 37 winners. 

“It was an impressive outing, and I look forward to defending the WAC title,” said coach Jessica Nairn.
