GBMS beats Medicine Lodge

The Great Bend Middle School seventh-grade football team defeated Medicine Lodge on Thursday evening 24-6.
Gage Fritz led the team with nine carries for 177 yards and two touchdowns.
Dalton Miller rushed for 77 yards on 12 carries.
Alex Olivas completed one of two passes, connecting with Joey Soupiset for a 15-yard reception.
Great Bend’s defense forced four turnovers and one safety. Miller and Olivas each had a fumble recovery, while Riley Smith and Connor Griffith each had an interception.
Smith returned his 20 yards, and Griffith finished off the pick-6 with a three-yard return.
