The Panther Bowling Teams both came away victorious from Dodge City on Thursday evening. The boy’s team earned the win by taking seven of the 11 games. Senior Captain Jeff Mietler earned 2nd place overall honors by rolling a 611 series. The Lady Panthers dominated the night by winning nine of the 11 games. The Lady Panthers were led in scoring by sophomore Allie Brodrick’s 582 series which earned her a first place finish. Not far behind was sophomore Elsi Miller who captured 2nd place with a season high series of 579. Three other Lady Panther bowlers also recorded 500 series as Addy Soukup rolled a 530, Kylynn Keeler rolled a 520 and Abby Rose rolled a 504.
In Junior Varsity action, the boys earned eight of 11 games and were led by sophomore Drew Reed’s 1st place series of 520 and Daegan Davis’s 2nd place series of 436. On the girls side the Lady Panthers earned three of the 11 games and were led by junior Alex Snyder’s 1st place series of 459.
The next action for the Panther bowlers will be next week as they travel to Garden City on Tuesday, host Liberal and Holcomb on Thursday and then travel to Wichita for tournament on Saturday.
