Great Bend golfers compete at Dodge City

DODGE CITY — Great Bend’s Cailee McMullen (105) and Kaylee Reiser (105) tied for 18th at Thursday’s Dodge City Golf Invitational. Kirsten Miessler (125) and Ashlyn Harbaugh (126) also counted for Great Bend’s team score.

The Panthers (461) finished ninth in the 12-team field. Maize High (385) edged Wichita Kapaun-Mt. Carmel (397) for first place.

Garden City’s Alyssa McMillen (81) shot 9-over par to win by seven strokes over Maize’s Riley Hunter. Golfers played in 88 degree heat with the southerly wind blowing 32 mph.
