HAYS – Four Great Bend
Middle School wrestlers earned first-place finishes as the Panthers placed
second at the Bob Threlkel Middle School Western Athletic Conference Tournament.
Liberal Eisenhower edged the Panthers by four points.
Great Bend’s Jace Schartz (2-0); Cooper Liles (2-0); Kasey Kennedy (3-0); and Keyven Schroeder (3-0) placed first.
Panthers Brody Schnoebelen (1-1) and Trinten Medlock (2-1).
“They all gave their all and that is all a coach can ask from their athletes,” said Great Bend coach
Norbert Muth. “I am proud of the wrestlers’ determination and never-give-up attitude. The wrestlers worked hard all year to improve their technique.”
