PRATT -- Great Bend graduate Kaden Spragis from Pratt Community College has signed a letter of intent to wrestle at the University of Central Oklahoma at Edmond, Okla.

Spragis (30-9, 125) finished with a 5-2 record at the 2024 NJCAA Wrestling Championships at Council Bluffs, Iowa. Triton, Ill. wrestler Anthony Schickel defeated Spragis, 16-0 for third place at 125 pounds. Schickel also defeated Spragis 11-3 in the quarterfinals.

Spragis won the South Central District wrestling title at Great Bend with a victory over R.J. Jones of Carl Albert, Okla.

Spragis (42-7) won a 120-pound 5A  state wrestling championship with a wild 11-9 victory over Newton's No. 1 ranked A.B. Stokes in the 2022 state tournament.
