The Great Bend Rec center will be extending the dates for this year’s Hap Dumont 11U State Tournament. “We are extending the dates to begin this Friday due to the number of teams that have registered,” said Christina Hayes, community development coordinator for the City of Great Bend. Hayes said 23 teams are currently registered for this year’s state tournament which will take place at the Great Bend Sports Complex. The three-day tournament begins at 8 a.m. Friday, July 10 and runs through Sunday, July 12. “The Rec is looking to host all the games at the complex with the Veterans fields being utilized as practice fields,” Hayes said.
