Great Bend sweeps Dodge bowling

Great Bend Panther Bryce Moore was two strikes from a perfect 300 game Thursday. Moore finished with a 286 game after recording a strike with his first shot in the 10th frame.

Moore (716) earned medalist honors as the Panther bowlers rolled past Dodge City’s 8-3 in Thursday’s Western Athletic Conference dual. Moore carded scores of 286, 217 and 213.

The Panther boys scored a total of 2,857 with a series score of 2,322 and a Baker score of 535. Great Bend won two series 753-738 and 860-714. The Panthers won two Baker games 214-153 and 171-142.

The other Panthers were third place Dalton Dicks, 530 (145-169-216); fifth-place Dalton Murphy, 503 (149-160-194); sixth-place Corbin Stanley, 575 (174-152); seventh-place Ashton Ensley, 489 (182-153-154); and 10th-place Jalen Daniels, 467 (180-167-120)

The Great Bend girls rolled a 2,646 total with a 2,088 series and 588 Baker score. Dodge City's Camryn Lenz (671) edged Panther Paige Wagner (628) for medalist honors with games of 223, 212 and 193. The Panthers swept two games 731-673 and 711-692. They won three Baker games 171-128; 192-115, and 195-117. 

Other Panther finishers were third-place Lexy Fox 519 (164-209-146); sixth place Kristy Wittig, 455 (147-156-152); ninth-place Ali Fryberger, 444 (142-154-148); 10th-place Zues Garcia, 441 (127-126-188); and 11th place Nichole Griffin, 418 (133-153-132).

"All four teams did a great job today bowling," said Great Bend coach David Feldbauer. "I'm proud of my bowlers."
