WICHITA — The Emery Park BMX Championship Finals were held over the weekend. Hundreds of riders and their families from around Kansas and neighboring states were on hand to compete at Wichita’s Emery Park. Riders battled for the title of State Champion in multiple categories and age groups. Two Great Bend brothers competed as well.
Alex Randolph (age 13) and his younger brother, Devin (age 9), both competed this weekend at the BMX State finals. This year Alex won the Kansas BMX State Championship in the 13 year old category.
Alex has been racing BMX for the past six years and Devin has raced for three years. Both boys have raced previous State Finals including the BMX Grand Nationals in Tulsa, OK. Alex competed in his first race at Britt Spaugh Park when he was three years old.
Both Alex and Devin will be racing later this fall in Tulsa as both have qualified for the President’s Cup “Race of Champions” and Grand Nationals in November.
