HAVEN GIRLS 48, ELLSWORTH 39 – Haven standout Sienna DeFrain muscled for 19 points and Karlee Cooprider added 11 points as the Wildcats downed Ellsworth 48-39 in the 3A Hoisington substate finals. Haven (16-7) qualifies for the 3A state tournament at Hutchinson.

The Wildcats converted 16 of 23 free throws to outscore the Bearcats 16-7.

Ellsworth’s Alexis Moore and Paityn Tenbrink each scored eight points. Lainey Peschka and Elyse Haxton were limited to six points apiece after a combined 33-point semifinal.
