HILLSBORO GIRLS 42, LARNED 40 — Hillsboro's Ella Potucek converted a game-winning shot after an apparent shot-clock violation to ruin Larned's upset hopes 42-40 in a showdown for first place in the Central Kansas League. Potucek rebounded her own miss and shot after the shot clock light went on. 

Hillsboro's Talia Jost and Potucek each scored 13 points. Brooke Simmons (11), Jadyn Crosby (11) and Lauren Sleder (10) led Larned.

HILLSBORO 47, LARNED 44 — Hillsboro's Koehn Janzen converted the tying and game-winning field goals as the Trojans earned their first victory 47-44 over Larned in Tuesday's Central Kansas League basketball game.

Hillsboro's Braxton Hiebert scored 18 points and Janzen added 11 points.

Larned's Kylier Greene scored 15 points and Anthony Gonzalez chipped in 12 points.
