HOISINGTON — Hoisington's Josiah Ball won the pole vault with a season-best effort (13-0) and also won the 110-meter hurdles (18.22).  The Cardinals dominated the inaugural Bill Kimble Track Invitational with 217 points with eight first-place finishes.

Also winning gold medals were Hoisington's Deryk Yott, 400 meters (53.79); Ian Doss, 800 meters (2:04.76); Bralen Thompson, triple jump (42-51/2); Caiden Hoffman, shot put (43-11);  Spencer Mintz, discus (136-10) and the 1,600-meter relay (3:42.04).

Central Plains Oiler Cole Lamatsch won the javelin (130-5) and 1,600 (4:53.14). Other gold medal winners were St. John's Preston Dunn, 300-meter hurdles ranked No. 9 in Kansas (41.03); St. John's 3,200-meter relay (9:35.46); and Stafford's Angel Dominguez, high jump (5-6).

GIRLS RESULTS — Hoisington Cardinal Shellamae Farmer won the pole vault with a No. 4 state-ranked effort (11-0) and also won the 300-meter hurdles (51.23). The Cardinals scored 121 points to finish runner-up behind Hays Thomas More Prep (157).

Hoisington's Kynlie Crowdis swept the 800 (2:39.89) and 1,600 (5:55.4). Sheena Gocela won the 100 meters (13.62).

Other first-place winners were Central Plains Oiler Soeken, 400 (1:04.2); Otis-Bison's Destiny Mitchell, 3,200 (13:56.69); St. John's 1,600-meter relay (4:29.84) and 3,200-meter relay (11:12.78); and Otis-Bison's Macie Wiltse, discus (91-8).
