RUSSELL — Hoisington medalist Maleigha Schmidt (40) and runner-up Trinity Dolezal (43) paced the Cardinals to firstr place at Monday’s Russell Invitational Golf Tournament. Cardinals Liza Ward (50) placed fifth and Addison Smith (53) earned eighth-medalist honors.

The Cardinals shot 186 over nine holes to win by 23 strokes over Larned (209). Larned’s Cathleen Cowell (48) placed third and Indian player Halle Barker (49) placed fourth and Faith Thompson (55) earned ninth medalist honors.
