The Cardinals average 330 yards rushing keyed by RB Joshua Ball (374, 5 TDs), RB Holt Hanzlick (359, 6 TDs), QB Mason Haxton (182), RB Cade Mason (176, TD) and Hunter Morris (156, 3 TDs). Morris (110, TD) and Chase Robinson (91, 2 TDs) are leading receivers.
Holt Hanzlick scored three second-half touchdowns to spark the No. 2-ranked Cardinals past Phillipsburg 42-21 in 2A, District 8. Hoisington (4-0, 1-0 District) plays at Minneapolis (2-2, 1-0) next week.
The Cardinals rushed for 402 yards behind C Logan Philbern, RG Cole Gilliland, RT Legend Robinson, LG Nolan Philbern, LT Braden Mooney and TEs Joshua Blal, Holt Hanzlick and Cole Steinert. Hanzlick gained 154 yards and Joshua Ball added 117 yards.
Minneapolis QB Trent Moeckel (602, 2 TDs) has rushed for 188 yards and four TDs. RB Gannon Cleveland (211, 2 TDs) and David Watson (108, TD) contribute. WR Spencer Davidson (410, 2 TDs) leads the receivers.

Larned QB Dillan Smith (913, 9 TDs) connects with TE Jack Stelter (336, 6 TDs), WR Fernando Herrera (229, 2 TDs) and WR Andreus Tucker (169, 2 TDs) lead the passing game. The Indians average 304 yards passing and 69 yards rushing per game.
Holcomb QB Kaden Johnson (453, 7 TDs) leads the passing game with RB Khai Cosner (248, 3 TDs) and Johnson (226, 3 TDs) help average 188 yards rushing.

SALINA SACRED HEART (0-4, 0-3) at ELLINWOOD (0-4, 0-2)
Ellinwood has been oustscored 248-0 and Sacred Heart has been outscored 179-6. The Ellinwood Eagles enjoyed their best highlight on the final play in a 58-0 loss to Conway Springs – a 46-yard pass from backup quarterback Drew Heinz to Colby Zink.
Eagle Gage Hosman dashed 12 yards and TB Colby Heinz gained 15 yards. Jonathan Mason had tackles on back-to-back plays.
Sacred Heart’s QB Evan Bogart has passed for 190 yards and backs Jared McCartey (243), Mason Richards (153) and Jarrett McMillian (126) contribute offensively.

ST. JOHN (1-1, 0-1) at KIOWA COUNTY (0-4, 0-1)
St. John halfback Uriel Calleros rushed for 13 yards and quarterback Marco Ibarra completed three passes for 14 yards. Caden McCandless caught a 10-yard pass and contributed 61/2 tackles.

LACROSSE (1-2, 1-0) at MACKSVILLE (1-2, 0-1)
LaCrosse TB Colby Stull has rushed for 260 yards and five touchdowns. Stull scored four TDS and two defensive scores ina 76-0 win over St. John. Bryce Conner scored on an interception return.
Macksville QB Ryan Kuckelman and WR Cleven Huggins have been productive players.
8-MAN 2, DISTRICT 5
VICTORIA (4-0, 2-0) at CENTRAL PLAINS (2-0, 2-0)
A high-powered old-fashioned showdown. Victoria QB Grant Schoenrock (413 rushing, 8 TDs, 2 TDs passing) leads the Knights. TB Carson Werth (328, 6 TDs), and Jayvon Pruitt (283, 6 Tds) help the Knights average 296 yards rushing.
Central Plains HB Michael Laymon scored four touchdowns as the Oilers rolled past Chase 64-14 in 8-Man 2, District 5 football. Michael Laymon converted a 25-yard interception return. QB Cole Lamatch scored on 12- and 27-yard runs and completed an 18-yard screen pass to William Laymon for a TD. William Laymon and Dawson McNeal scored TDs.
8-MAN 2, DISTRICT 5
OTIS-BISON (0-4, 0-3) at TESCOTT (0-3, 0-1)
Hard-luck Otis-Bison was sparked by red-hot quarterback Kaden Foust, who completed five touchdown passes with 236 yards passing in a 50-46 loss to Wilson. Dalton Regan caught scoring passes of 29, 42 and 51 yards. Bryce Frazier caught a 25-yard scoring strike and Christian Roth converted a 19-yard touchdown pass.
Christian Roth scored a 71-yard kickoff return and Regan’s 29-yard touchdown reception gave the Cougars a 46-30 lead.
8-MAN 2, DISTRICT 6
CALDWELL (4-0, 3-0) at STAFFORD (2-2, 0-2)
Caldwell QB Keondre Smith scored five rushing touchdowns with 183 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Dawson Bristow in a 46-22 win over Hutchinso Central Christian.
Stafford’s TB Kleyton Schreiber gained 188 yards rushing with three touchdowns. HB Tai Hildebrand contributed 106 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Ashton Harter scored a fumble return. Alexis Garcia caused a fumble and recovered a fumble.

PAWNEE HEIGHTS (1-3) at MOSCOW (3-1)
Moscow lost 41-32 to high-powered Ashland, but the Tigers have collapsed with a 61-0 loss to Natoma and a 54-6 loss to Rolla the past two weeks.
