HOISINGTON GIRLS 46, ELL-SALINE 14 — Hoisington's girls featured a perfectly balanced offense with Kelsi Maier leading the way with 10 points in a 46-14 rout over Ell-Saline in the battle of Cardinals. Tianna Lutters and Laeya Beck each added nine points.

Hoisington (8-4) travels to Smoky Valley Tuesday.

ELL-SALINE 69, HOISINGTON 45 — State-ranked 2A Ell-Saline blew out Hoisington 22-9 in the fourth quarter for a dominating 69-45 non-league basketball victory. Kas Kramer scored 22 points, 16 after halftime. Trey Williams scored 22 points.

Hoisington's Mason Martin scored 24 points off 8 of 20 shooting. Brody Pfannenstiel dished out four assists.

Ell-Saline led 28-24 at halftime and outscored Hoisington 41-21 after halftime keyed by crisp execution.

"Ell-Saline had better effort and discipline," said Hoisington coach Kyle Haxton. "They beat us on the boards and to loose balls, which is effort. It's a disappointing night. We've got to grow from it."

Hoisington (8-7) travels to Smoky Valley Tuesday.
