WICHITA – Cardinal sprinter Marley Bittel continues to shine at the state meet with third-place medals in the 100 meters (12.55) and 200 meters (25.53). Past state runner-up Bittel posted the third-fastest 100 (12.43) and third fastest 200 (25.91).

Hesston's Nebraska-bound Ashley Lehman swept the 100 (12.01), 200 (24.1) and 400 (54.94) after a career best prelim time (54.02).

The Cardinal girls scored 26 points to place 13th in 3A.

Hoisington's Taylen Morales cleared 14-feet to tie for the best 3A pole vault, but finished third on a tiebreaker to Holton's Pierson Cyphers and Royal Valley's Xander Harding.

Cardinal Joseph Hekele cleared a career best 13-6 to finish fifth.

Hoisington High's Brody Rossman (9:49.56) placed fifth in the Class 3A 3,200 meters with a career best time. Kinley Wilkens placed ninth with a season-best 800 (2:25.27).

The Cardinal boys scored 15 points and placed 16th in 3A.

Larned's Cara Herbert placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (15.38).
