HOISINGTON -- Hoisington's summer baseball team used a 10-run inning to start a sweep over Larned 13-4 and 4-3 Thursday.
HOISINGTON 4, LARNED 3 (G2) -- Hoisington's Gratton Dalton singled in Tony Moore and Lane French for a 4-0 lead. Reliever Carson Mason preserved the victory by striking out Corbyn Nance, Hunter Hobbs and Antonio Torres to strand Mason Miller at third base.
Moore tripled home Rhen Galla in the first inning. Moore tripled his fun with his second triple that scored Galla in a 3-run third inning. French and Marcus Ingram walked, setting up Dalton's 2-run single.
Larned's Caden Morgan scored on a fourth-inning error. Deacon Martin and Antonio Torres scored on sixth-inning wild pitches.
HOISINGTON 13, LARNED 4 (G1) -- Hoisington's Dalton doubled twice and drove in three runs. Moore and Ingram each drove in two runs with two hits. Carson Mason and Tyrus Penka each drove in one run.
Larned's Tristan Regan, Mason Miller and Camden Bird drove in runs. Deacon Martin singled three times. Caden Morgan doubled.
