HOISINGTON — Nickerson’s 6-2 tandem of Morgan Stout and Ava Jones combined for 27 points to dominate the paint in a 53-14 Central Kansas League victory over Hoisington’s girls.

The No. 4 ranked 4A Panthers (7-1, 1-0 CKL) drilled five 3-pointers and dominated play inside with their height. Madison Ontjes scored 13 points.

Hoisington (1-5, 0-1 CKL) was paced by Jaci Guthrie with four points.

HOISINGTON — Bralen Thompson scored a career high 31 points to spark the Cardinals past Nickerson 59-48 in Tuesday’s Central Kansas League basketball game. Thompson converted six 3-pointers to spark the Cardinals (5-1, 1-0 CKL).

Connor Macdonald led Nickerson with 12 points.
