Larned’s Hope shuts down Cardinals

LARNED – Larned pitcher Brady Hope (3-2) struck out six batters to spark a 4-1 Central Kansas League baseball victory over Hoisington. Larned (12-7, 11-6 CKL) and Hoisington (12-7, 10-7 CKL) were rained out in the second game.

In projected regionals, Larned would play Chapman (10-8) at the Pratt 4A regional and Hoisington would meet Beloit (8-10) at the 3A Hoisington regional.

Hoisington’s Gratton Dalton singled home Marcus Ingram for a second-inning run.

Larned's Carson Shaver reached on an error and Hope walked and scored on Caden Morgan’s third-inning single. Caden Morgan singled home Carson Shaver and Hope in the third inning. Larned’s Cade Colglazier scored on a fifth-inning wild pitch. Morgan singled home Hope.
