Indians sweep Haven baseball
LARNED – Larned reliever Carson Shaver locked down a doubleheader sweep over Haven 9-5 and 6-0 in Friday’s Central Kansas League baseball doubleheader. Larned 5-5, 4-4 CKL) handed Haven (9-3, 4-2 CKL) its first two league setbacks.
LARNED 9, HAVEN 5 (G1) – Larned’s Shaver singled home Anthony Gonzalez to ignite a 4-run sixth inning. Tristan Regan singled home Andres Martinez and Shaver. Regan scored on a wild pitch for a 9-5 lead.
Regan, Brady Hope and Caden Morgan each drove in two runs. Starter Caden Morgan struck out six batters.
Haven’s Preston Sander drove home three runs. Dustin Loughrie drove home a run.
LARNED 6, HAVEN 0 (G2) – Larned starter Brady Hope and Shaver combined for a 4-hit shutout with nine strikeouts.
Shaver scored on a groundout to start a 3-run first inning. Regan scored on a double steal. Caden Morgan scored on a wild pitch. Ty Smith singled home Regan in the third inning. Caden Morgan stole home on a double steal. Cade Colglazier singled home Caden Morgan for a 6-0 victory.
