PRATT – Larned's baseball team snapped a 1-1 tie with a 10-run eighth inning to roll past Pratt 11-1 in Wednesday's first game. Pratt won the nightcap 10-0. 

Larned improves to 8-6.

LARNED 11, PRATT 1 (G2) – Larned pitchers Kaden Pontius, Gavin Alvarez, Brady Hope and Aidan Smyth battled Pratt to a 1-1 tie through seven innings. Larned shortstop Dillan Smith and second baseman Aidan Smyth teamed for a first-inning double play. Kaden Pontius picked off Matt Shanline in the second inning. Catcher Jack Stelter threw out Kaiser Pelland in the fourth inning.

Kaden Pontius singled home Ian Orth in the first inning. Pratt's Koda Dipman singled home Blake Coss for a 1-1 tie after one inning.

Hope singled home Luke Wilson to ignite a 10-run eighth inning. Jacob Grosfield scored on an error. Kaden Pontius singled home Smyth. Dillan Smith singled home Hope and Stelter. Pontius scored on Gunnar Cline's hit-by-pitch. Smith scored on Grosfield's single. Logan Erway scored on Smyth's single. Cline scored on a groundout. Grosfield scored on Stelter's sacrifice fly.

PRATT 10, LARNED 0 (G2) – Larned was limited to singles by Orth and Erway by Pratt pitcher Cesar Espino. Blake Coss and Espino each had two RBIs.

Dipman started a seven-run second inning with an RBI single. Espino doubled home two runs. Coss and Espino scored on an error. Two runs scored on bases-loaded walks for a 7-0 lead.

Pratt earned a un-rule victory with a three-run fourth inning. Coss delivered an RBI single. Grant Younie drilled an RBI single. Espino scored on a wild pitch for a 10-0 victory.
