Larned Indians sweep Vikings

LARNED – Larned pitchers Cade Colglazier and Tristan Regan sparked the Indians to a Central Kansas baseball doubleheader sweep over Smoky Valley Thursday.  Larned (8-6 CKL) dropped the Vikings to 4-14, 4-12 CKL.

LARNED 6, VIKINGS 3 (G1) – Larned’s Colglazier (3-1) worked six innings with four strikeouts.

Carson Shaver scored on a groundout and Brady Hope scored on a third-inning wild pitch. Eian Sanders scored on a fourth-inning wild pitch.

Mason Miller’s single drove home Deacon Martin. Miller scored on Shaver’s single. Colglazier’s sacrifice fly scored Regan for a 6-3 lead.

LARNED 7, VIKINGS 2 (G2) – Larned’s Regan (1-0) earned his first victory with three strikeouts. Caden Morgan had four strikeouts in three innings.

Colglazier and Sanders delivered RBIs in a 3-run first inning. Colglazier scored on a groundout.

Caden Morgan singled home Shaver and Colglazier for a 5-1 lead after two innings.

Martin scored on Regan’s squeeze bunt and Hope singled home Shaver for a 7-1 lead after three innings. 

Smoky Valley’s Kade Blanchat homered in both games.
