PRATT – Larned’s Mason Perez atoned for a late-game technical foul with the tying and winning free throws in overtime for a 47-46 Central Kansas league basketball victory. The Indians rallied from a 15-point deficit and own the top record in the Kismet 3A basketball substate.
Pratt's Zachary Shanline missed a potential game-winning field goal at the final buzzer.
Larned (8-4, 2-0 CKL) swung the momentum with a 11-0 scoring run to start the fourth quarter on baskets by Perez, Trent Fletcher and Chance Sanger for a 36-35 lead. Pratt’s Jeremy Bates forced overtime at 40-40.
Larned’s Trent Fletcher scored 13 points and Perez added 12 points. The Indians play Nickerson (7-6, 2-0 CKL) at home for a share of first place Tuesday.
