Larned Indian Alea Makings bunts home Baylea Perez in a 7-6 victory over Hillsboro.

LARNED — Larned's Nikki Taylor saved the day with the game-winning double for a 7-6 Central Kansas League softball victory over Hillsboro. The Trojans gained a split with a 3-1 victory in the nightcap. Larned (5-9, 3-9 CKL) won its third league game against Hillsboro (7-3, 7-3 CKL).

LARNED 7, HILLSBORO 6 (G1) — Taylor doubled home Shaylee Martin to break a 6-6 tie in the eighth inning.

Larned led 2-1 after Ivory Muldrow stole home and Alea Makings scored on a Baylea Perez bunt in the third inning. Lynzi Myrick stole home in the fourth inning for a 3-1 lead. 

Trinity Malm doubled home Ava Weisbeck and Reese Hefley for a 3-3 tie. Mario Nieto's double scored Trinity Malm and Dani Klein for a 5-3 lead.

After Hillsboro led 5-3, Larned rallied with a two-run sixth inning. Abby Towery on Shaylee Martin's bunt. Martin scrambled home on a steal for a 5-5 tie. Hefley's single scored Tuesday Weisbeck for a 6-5 Hillsboro lead. Makings scored the tying run in the seventh inning for a 6-6 tie.

HILLSBORO 3, LARNED 1 (G2) — Hillsboro pitcher Cheyenne Bernhardt held the Indians to three hits in the nightcap. Ava Weisbeck singled home Reese Hefley for a 1-0 lead. Dani Klein singled home Weisbeck for a 2-0 lead. Alea Makings scored Larned's first-inning run after a double.

Hillsboro scored its third run Ava Weisbeck scored on Tuesday Weisbeck's double.
