Larned tennis wins three divisions

CLAFLIN – Larned’s No. 1 singles Abby Holt, No. 2 singles Cassie Manry and No. 2 doubles Reese Watkins/Isabella Bailey won titles at Tuesday’s Claflin Quad tennis tournament. Larned (27) captured the team title with Central Plains (17) placing runner-up.

Last year’s third-place 3-1A state medalist Holt defeated Central Plains past state doubles qualifier Lauren Oeser 8-3 for the championship. Manry defeated Hoisington’s Claire Crutcher 8-6 for the championship. Watkins/Bailey defeated Central Plains’ Mackenzie Foulger/Kylie Kempke 8-5 for first place.

Central Plains’ No. 1 doubles Grace Lamatsch/Ryann Metro defeated Larned’s Arianna Hemken/Breanna Hemken 8-0 for first place.
