Junction City spoiled Great Bend's Senior Night with a hard-fought 2-1 soccer victory over the Panthers at Cavanaugh Field.
Junction City's Kai Walsh scored off a rebound on Zane Khoury's assist in the 10th minute for a 1-0 lead against Panther goalie Mario Enriquez.
Great Bend's Alex Galindo and Alex Alonzo passed to Gustavo Alvarado for a 1-1 tie (25:39).
The Bluejays' John Noveroske scored the game-winning goal (33:23) on Walsh's assist for a 2-1 victory. The second half was scoreless.
Great Bend (2-11, 0-6 WAC) travels to Liberal (6-5, 3-2 WAC) Tuesday for two games, the first the resumption of a game stopped by lightning.
